Dominic is a graduate from Columbia College Chicago where he earned a degree in audio for visual media through the film and video program. But that is not where his interest in audio started. After learning to play drums at the age of 13, he jump-started his career by playing in a number of bands with only six months of practice and a broken arm. The arm eventually healed and band gear slowly took over his house, making it difficult to travel from one room to another without tripping over speaker cables, a stack of recently dubbed cassette tapes, or broken drum heads.
Several years, bands, and audio projects later, his career at Columbia provided Dominic the opportunity to put his creative and technical hands on a number of films through post-production audio. His sound design work has screened at various stateside festivals as well as at Cannes Film Festival 2008 where he had two films in the roster.
